About Firth

Where demand comes ashore.

A firth is a narrow arm of the sea, the place where open water meets a sheltered harbor. It’s a Scottish word, in continuous use for six centuries. It describes exactly where this product stands: between the open ocean of public conversation and the protected harbor of your pipeline. Demand flows in from the open water. Firth is where you receive it.

The market is the open sea.
The signal is the beacon.

Every day, across Hacker News, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and the communities where your customers gather, people describe the exact problem your product solves. Most of it is noise. A rare few posts are a genuine buying signal: someone asking, in the open, for what you offer.

Firth is not the storm and not the noise. It’s the intent layer sitting between that noise and your pipeline: the calm, well-charted place where the right things arrive. It reads the tide, scores each conversation for real intent, and drafts an honest reply you can send yourself while the post is still warm.

Call it an intent engine, if you want the plainer name. Its only job is turning scattered public conversation into a ranked, honest read on who is asking for what you build, so you can act on the ones that matter.

Why now

Building software got cheap. AI tooling collapsed the cost of shipping a product to a fraction of what it was a few years ago, and that shifted where the real bottleneck sits. It is no longer building the thing. It is knowing what to build, and who needs it. Founders can ship faster than they can find the people already asking for what they just shipped.

In November 2025, GummySearch shut down, and the founders who relied on it lost the tool they used to listen for that demand. The demand didn’t go anywhere. Firth was built for exactly that work, and built to outlast a single platform: it reads Hacker News, GitHub, and Stack Overflow today, with Reddit next as soon as their API access is approved, designed so no one source can decide its fate.

What we hold to

Honesty isn’t a footnote here. It’s the product.

A score is an estimate, and we say so

Every lead carries a buying-intent score from 1 to 10 with the reasoning attached, and the original post is always one click away. Firth points; you judge. We never dress an estimate up as a fact.

You send it, always

Firth drafts outreach that references what a person actually wrote. Then it hands it to you. No automated posting, no mass DMs, nothing that puts your account at risk. The send is a human decision, every time.

Real people, or nothing

Every lead is a real, public post from a real person, accessed through official, read-only platform APIs. No invented profiles, no fabricated stats, no scraping that breaks the rules of the places your customers gather.

Limits stated plainly

What the free plan does and doesn’t do is on the page, in plain words. In a category full of tools that overpromise, calm precision is the whole point.

Your next customers are already asking.

Firth is open. Start on the free plan and see your leads today, no card, no waiting.
